Project Scope

The Southlawn Middle School Gymnasium Addition is an important capital improvement project initiated by Montgomery Public Schools to expand and modernize athletic, instructional, and community-use spaces on the Southlawn campus. The addition is part of a broader district effort to enhance facility quality, support student wellness, and improve the overall educational environment.

The Gymnasium Addition will deliver a modern, high-performance athletic facility designed to support the school’s physical education curriculum, extracurricular programs, and community activities. Core elements of the scope include:
