he City of Montgomery is enhancing its emergency response capabilities with the construction of a new Fire Station No. 10, strategically located near the intersection of West Fairview Avenue and South Court Street. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to replace the existing stations on Rosa L. Parks Avenue and East Fairview Avenue, consolidating operations under one roof.
The $8 million project, part of the Montgomery Forward Initiative, aims to provide modern equipment and facilities to better serve the community. The new station will feature spacious bays for fire trucks, advanced training areas, and administrative offices. Additionally, it will include a meeting room dedicated to educating and certifying new firefighters and paramedics, as well as hosting neighborhood meetings.
A groundbreaking ceremony for Fire Station No. 10 was held in August 2022, with the project expected to be completed by fall 2023. This development underscores the city’s commitment to enhancing public safety infrastructure and ensuring efficient emergency response services for its residents.
