The new Student Amenities Building at Alabama A&M University is envisioned as a vibrant hub for student engagement, wellness, and community activity—strengthening the social and cultural heartbeat of life on “The Hill.” Designed by Nola | Van Peursem Architects, the facility complements AAMU’s ongoing campus transformation by creating an inclusive environment that blends modern design with the University’s rich heritage and traditions.

Division 12 Consulting has been awarded the furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) package for this signature project. Working in close collaboration with the University’s facilities and design teams, Division 12 will provide a comprehensive turnkey solution encompassing design coordination, space planning, specification, procurement, logistics, and white-glove installation.

Key project highlights include:

• Student Lounge & Commons: Dynamic, technology-enabled spaces with modular soft seating and collaborative tables to support group study, relaxation, and student life programming.

• Dining & Food Service Areas: Durable, hospitality-grade furnishings selected to withstand high-traffic use while maintaining an elevated aesthetic.

• Meeting & Activity Spaces: Flexible configurations to accommodate student organizations, events, and leadership development initiatives.

• Recreation & Wellness Zones: Comfortable, engaging furniture solutions that encourage health, connection, and community.

• Design Integration: Finishes and color palettes reflecting Alabama A&M’s identity—celebrating school pride through modern, timeless design.

The Student Amenities Building will serve as a central destination for students to gather, dine, study, and build relationships beyond the classroom. Through this project, Division 12 Consulting continues its long-standing partnership with Alabama A&M University, delivering environments that enrich the student experience, promote engagement, and advance the University’s mission of excellence in education and community development.
